MISSION

TThe NSS Education Division actively supports the Society’s role of educating our members, the caving community, youth organizations, government and private agencies and the general public.

EDUCATION DIVISION OPERATION PHILOSOPHY

Education supports only one of two ends: it either forces compliance to what we believe is right or it provides the tools with which we can shape what we will become.   This division will provide resources to shape what we will become.

Education will be used as a common denominator for creating partnerships with funding sources, businesses, industries and government agencies. Leaders and members will be involved in the education decision-making process.

The Division supports pioneering efforts in Speleological education.  We create partnerships with the innovative programs.  Education will become the nexus that will move the NSS into new areas of activity that support our present focus.

It is important to assure that Conservation and preservation of our karst and groundwater resources continue to be included in current and future NSS programs and services.
