What is the IO Annual Report?
The IO Annual Report is a means for the NSS to touch base with your
IO
or Affinity Group to get
an idea how things are going. The report is due on an annual basis and is an
obligation you have as an IO or Affinity Group. You should "submit" the report multiple
times throughout the year as changes occur in your IO or Affinity Group.

Where do I find the password for my
organization?
The password has been provided to an
officer within your organization. If it has been mislaid or forgotten, you must contact the Chair of the
IO Committee Keith
D. Wheeland or go to nssio.org and ask for your password. It will be sent to
the email addresses you have on file for the IO. Before doing this you may want
to verify which emails you have on file for your IO. You can do that by going to
the NSS web page and clicking on Find a Local Caving Club.

How can I get my
Grotto information to
appear in another State besides its home State?
As you know, grotto information is listed by
State both in the Members Manual
and on the NSS website. There is a place in the online records where you can
select up to three additional States in which to list your grotto. This option
is available under the following restriction. The extra states will be allowed
if it is reasonable to assume that cavers from those States would attend your
regular meetings on a regular basis. Since only Grottos are
listed by State, the fields are meaningless for other IOs.

Where are we required to send copies of
our IO publications?

How does
Primary
Affiliation affect my IO?
If your IO is a Grotto, your Grotto must have at least five active (paid up)
NSS members who consider your Grotto as their Primary Affiliation.
Each IO is allotted a certain number of
votes for the Congress of Grottos. The number allotted depends upon the
number of active (paid up) NSS members who consider that IO as their Primary
Affiliation.
