Join us at our meeting! Informational programs, new member introduction, cave trip planning, trip reports, and training information. This is the best place to meet other Nittany Grotto members, learn about caving, and get on a cave trip.
Monthly Grotto Meetings: Every Other Wednesdays, 7:00pm
The Nittany Grotto meets every other Wednesday at 7:00 pm in the State College Muncipal Building (simply refered to as the Borough building). The meeting is held on the second floor, generally in Room 200 or 220, but can vary depending on availability (please check with an officer prior to coming if you are unsure). The Borough building is located 3 blocks south of the main campus of Penn State University at 243 South Allen Street near the intersection with Foster Street, State College, PA.
After the general meeting, the grotto usually moves to a member's residence for the "After Meeting Meeting", commonly referred to as the "AMM". The host generally supplies various snacks and other goodies, while each attendee typically supplies their own favorite beverage.
Annual Membership Meeting
Besides the general meetings held throughout the academic year, Nittany Grotto also holds an annual membership business meeting where officers are elected and to conduct business that may come before the Board. Any business that may occur between the annual business meeting is conducted directly by the Board members. The annual membership / business meeting is open to the public.
The next Annual Nittany Grotto Membership Business Meeting will be held in June 2019 at a place to be determined.
