Cave exploration is the main draw for fanatic life-time cavers. The following books show caving obsessions in thier extreme.

Some books that many of you would find interesting on classic cave exploration tales in the US.

1. The Longest Cave - Brucker/Watson

This is story of original exploration of Mammoth Cave (C3 expedition), the founding of the Cave Research Foundation (CRF), and the connection between Cystal Cave and Mammoth Cave to become the world's longest cave.

2. Beyond Mammoth Cave - Border/Brucker

The sequel to The longest Cave, this book covers the exploration and connection of Procter, Morrisons, and Roppel to Mammoth Cave.

3. Trapped! - Murray/Brucker

This is the amazing story surrounding the cave death of Floyd Collins. The story was the main headline news of 1925. This is a truly an excitingly unbelievable but true story - a must read!

4. The Jewel Cave Adventure - the Conns

The story have how Heb and Jan Conn (and others) explored and mapped about 40 miles of Jewel Cave.

5. Deep Secrets - Reames, Fish, Burger, Kambesis

The story of the digging, exploration, and politics of Lechuguilla Cave. The book shows how all of the main leaders were eventually kicked out of the project. The book ends shortly after Emily Mobily Davis's cave rescue and the death of Lechuguilla Cave Project (LCP) and the formation of Lechuguilla Exploration and Research Network (LEARN).

6. Beyond the Deep - Stone/ am Ende

Story of the deep cave exploration of sumps of Huautla, Mexico.
