I could probably be suckered into showing some of my latest pictures, but put that as last in the list of ideas. Or at least later in the summer when I will have a few more.

It has been at least a year or two since the Forest Service bat lady has done a presentation, since I have never seen it.

A couple of people have had caving trips outside the country the last year or two, if they are willing to fess up.

We can see if anyone is interested in hearing/learning about cave mapping. I know Brandon Kowallis has been working on some "intro to cave mapping" things over the years, and several of the newer members have mentioned they would at least like to learn how it works, etc...

Very Happy

Deb,

There are always lots of things to do at Grotto meetings.
Here are a couple of ideas.
1. Have everyone bring all the cave maps they have and have a map meeting
2. First Aid and CPR
3. Cave Rescue slides and training
4. Cave Art - Have everyone make a piece of cave art
5. Cave Music - Have everyone bring cave music and even perform some at a meeting
6. Survey basic class
7. Cartography class - By hand or by computer
8. Cave food - Have everyone bring samples of food that works well in caves - sample it at the meeting
9. Cave clothing - bring interesting verieties and discuss
10. Basic cave equipment and gear - all participate
11. Vertical Gear class or demo
12. Cave Photography class - have an expert teach the basics and show gear
13. Cave Patches, books and memorabilia
14. Cave Movies, books, tapes and pictures
15. Cave Rope - learn about rope, cost, care, storage and cleaning
16. Lights - Everyone brings head lights and back-up lights and even carbide lights - show and tell
17. Cave Projects - List all known about. Talk of others needed
18. Biology - have someone lecture on and show slides on biology of caves. teach us how to collect samples etc.
19. Geology -

Opps, I have to go on a medical call so use your imagination. The possibilities are limitless
