CAVING

The Regional will be located in Magic Valley's rich lava tube caving area in Gooding and Shoshone Idaho. There are 40-50 caves within an hours drive of Shoshone including several excellent gated permit caves.

 

 

 

CAMPING, REGISTRATION, & FOOD $20

We will be camping on a portion of the Lincoln County Fairgrounds in the city of Shoshone, Idaho. It is a park-like setting with grass and a baseball field. There are bathrooms and showers are free! A technical session and spaghetti dinner will occur in Saturday night. Cook stoves are welcome and a local market and gas station is under 2 miles away. Registration of $20 per person can be on-site or in advance. RV and electrical hookups are an additional $20/day.

 

GUIDEBOOKS $15

Lisa Bauman is releasing a 2nd edition reprint of the 2014 EWLS Guidebook & Magazine that was used a month before during the organization's annual event. It is full-color and filled with pictures and maps of 10 popular Magic Valley area caves. This second edition will include new pictures and updated content. It also includes bios of 9 women cavers as part of the publication's annual tradition.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS

Wild Rose Hot Spring is about a 45 minute drive north of Shoshone. Craters of the Moon National Monument is about an hours drive north of Shoshone. The Shoshone Falls are about 40 minutes away in Twin Falls, ID. Several nearby show caves are minutes away too!
