Minutes of the 14 April 2012 meeting of the Indiana Speleological Survey

The meeting was started around 8:35, preceded earlier in the day by a shorter than usual cave trip to Geeding's Dome in Binkley. Rand was thanked for hosting the meeting and for supplying the pleasant weather to meet outside on the deck.


November 26 Trip Report & December 3 Trip

Greetings, cavers!! I hope each of you had an enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday weekend!

Two teams of cavers worked on two different objectives last Saturday. One team went to work on Davidson Dig, while the other went surveying in the Guy Stover entrance to Binkley cave. Here is a link to the report:

First of all, Tim McLain completed and submitted a trip report for the October 30 trip during which he and Rand Heazlitt completed the survey and push of Oliphant Crawl beyond the Great Pit; here is a link to the report:

Four cavers entered Binkley Cave this past Saturday and checked two leads in a passage possibly not visited since 1969; here is the report:

Another trip took place on Sunday, during which nearly 400 feet of passage was surveyed in Oliphant Crawl (beyond the Great Pit), but I don’t yet have a report to share on it.
