Speleonics ® is the official publication of the Communications & Electronics Section. Primary interests include cave radio, underground communication and instrumentation, cave-rescue communications, cave lighting, and cave-related applications of amateur radio. Future directions may include subjects on computerized geophysics, such as micro-gravity and magnetic surveys in search of lineations or voids below. Ground-penetrating radar now has 20' commercial depths and the military version is rumored to approach 100'. Laser range finders, bat counters, underwater mapping with sonar or similar sensors, and the like are also interesting.
The Editorship rotates among the officers. Volunteers are encouraged to guest-edit or to help produce an issue. Paul Jorgenson (KE7HR) is the Board member responsible for Publications.
