In existence since 1996, the Sub-Urban Chicago Grotto meets in the western suburbs of Chicago but is open to anyone, anywhere, interested in caving and the National Speleological Society. With a laid-back meeting style, the SUCG is an active group of cavers who go on wild cave trips, conduct training sessions, and are longtime participants in the Mammoth Cave Restoration Crew and events like Old Timers Reunion.
