Texas cavers welcome everyone to the border city of Del Rio for the 2027 NSS Convention, June 14-18. This will be a real Tex-Mex Convention, with piñatas, mariachis, and of course, caves on both sides of the border.

Hundreds of caves beckon on both sides of the border, including the famous Devil’s Sinkhole, large bat caves like Kickapoo Cavern and Green Cave, and highly decorated caves in Mexico like Gruta del Palmito. Some caves and shelters contain artifacts dating back thousands of years and offering clues to early hunters and gatherers.

Whether you're here to enjoy the caves or dive into your vacation, Texas has it all! From archeology to wineries, Southwest Texas offers a variety of activities. World-class swimming holes await you at San Felipe Springs, hiking trails at Amistad, watch the sunset at Devils River State Natural Area, and explore the famous Kickapoo Cavern State Park.
The convention will be hosted at the Val Verde County Fairgrounds, Southwest Texas College, and the Del Rio High School.
