The District of Columbia Grotto (DCG) is an organization dedicated to the exploration, study, and conservation of caves.  The Grotto brings together persons interested in all aspects of caving.  With a history going back to 1939, it is one of the oldest caving organizations in existence.  Some of our original members were founders of the NSS.
