The Gila Area Grotto started in 2026 through a group of likeminded cavers in the Gila area meeting in Silver City, and realizing the need for a local grotto. The Gila Area Grotto will focus on new cave development, cave conservation, modern skills workshops, and enabling new local members to safely get exposed to the world of caving.
