The National Cave Rescue Commission is the only national level organization providing essential cave rescue training, education, and resources for cavers, land managers, and emergency responders. Through quality training and public education that stresses stewardship and conservation, we strive to facilitate the best possible outcomes for those who need rescue in cave environments.

Your generous donation will help NCRC in three critical areas:

• Gear caches – The NCRC maintains national and regional gear caches to be used for training and rescues. We want to make sure we have sufficient gear that is up-to-date.
• 
  The NCRC Scholarship Fund – We want to encourage all who want to take NCRC training to do so, and don’t want the cost of trainings to be an impediment.
• 
  Instructor development – It takes hundreds of hours to become an NCRC instructor. These instructors then volunteer their time to teach others, and have to meet certain requirements every three years to stay an instructor. We host periodic instructor retreats, encourage attendance at rescue-related meetings, and have an international exchange program for instructors to help them stay on top of cave rescue knowledge, and assisting them in these endeavors will help us maintain a dedicated, long-volunteering instructor corps.
