Volunteer Value

NSS Volunteers provide critical support to cave exploration, science, conservation, and education. Collecting and highlighting those efforts helps us demonstrate that value on a national level.

Why quantify volunteer value?

Volunteer Value is defined as the time, expertise, and resources given by the caving community on all cave projects including survey, cartography, inventory, science, administration, restoration, conservation, educational outreach, project preparation, and documentation.

By entering your Caver Volunteer Value data, your important work is quantified and recognized, which can help position your project for grant funding.
