Crypt of the Megafauna

NSS Video Salon 2024 – Best of Show. Produced by Mike Sandone. In 2023 a large quantity of Ice Age megafauna fossils were discovered in a cave in Mexico. The cave, however, is full of challenges: a tight vertical entrance, deep water, and long crawls. This film documents the efforts of a small group of cavers led by Cave Biologist Dr. Luis Espinasa to retrieve the fossils with the assistance of an ROUV (Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle). And to answer the question: how did thousands of bones from mammoths, glyptodonts, camels, sloths, wolves, and cats end up in this cave? Was it the work of ice age humans?
